On the 9th, Park Seongman, Chairman of the North Gyeongsang Provincial Council, along with Vice Chairmen Bae Jinseok and Choi Byeongjun, Operations Committee Chairman Lee Chunwoo, Agriculture and Fisheries Committee Chairman Shin Hyogwang, Construction and Firefighting Committee Chairman Park Soonbeom, and local council members from Andong, Kim Daeil, Kim Daejin, and Kwon Gwangtaek, made an emergency visit to the disaster site in Imdong-myeon, Andong City, where houses and roads were damaged by heavy rainfall. They inspected the progress of emergency restoration efforts and offered consolation to the affected residents.
On the 8th, a heavy rain warning and advisory were issued in the North Gyeongsang region. The highest recorded rainfall was 309mm in Moseo-myeon, Sangju, followed by 260mm in Dain-myeon, Uiseong, and 254mm in Waryong-myeon, Andong, with heavy rain concentrated in the northern inland areas of North Gyeongsang. The record rainfall caused road embankment collapses, road damage and rockfalls, and flooding of houses.
Gyeongbuk Provincial Council Chairman Park Seongman, along with the chairpersons and operation committee heads, visited Imdong-myeon, Andong City, which was damaged by heavy rain, and stated that the council would assist in completing emergency repairs quickly and restoring daily life.
Park Seongman, Chairman of the North Gyeongsang Provincial Council, visited the site in Daegok-ri, Imdong-myeon, Andong City, where road damage and power outages occurred, and stated, "I do not know how to express words of comfort to the residents who have suffered such devastating losses from the flood." He added, "We will actively support the emergency restoration at the council level in cooperation with local council members Kim Daeil, Kim Daejin, and Kwon Gwangtaek so that residents can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, the North Gyeongsang Provincial Council urged the executive branch to promptly complete the damage assessment and emergency restoration caused by the heavy rain, and to ensure compensation according to the scale of the damage and prevent further losses.
