Department of Dental Hygiene at Silla University Holds Oath Ceremony for Prospective Dental Hygienists

The Department of Dental Hygiene at Silla University (President: Hur Namsik) held an oath-taking and pinning ceremony for prospective dental hygienists.

On the 3rd, the '13th Oath-Taking and Pinning Ceremony for Prospective Dental Hygienists' was held at Silla University's Biomedical Science Building 2. Attending the event were the department's faculty members and 36 prospective dental hygienists, including student Jo So-hye. They received pins symbolizing 'love, dedication, and service,' reaffirming their pride as future dental hygienists before starting their field training.

The event proceeded in the following order: ▲Opening remarks by the department head ▲Encouragement speech by the president ▲Encouragement speech by the dean of the College of Health and Welfare ▲Congratulatory message from the president of the Busan Metropolitan City branch of the Korean Dental Hygienists Association ▲Pinning ceremony ▲Recitation of the oath.

The third-year students, embarking on their first clinical practice, pledged to uphold ethics and responsibility as prospective dental hygienists, prioritizing patients' oral health and well-being above all else.

After the recitation of the oath, the students watched a special event prepared by the faculty?a video message of support from their parents?which deeply moved them and gave them great courage for their upcoming training.

Kim Yurin, head of the Department of Dental Hygiene at Silla University, stated, "The Department of Dental Hygiene at Silla University has established excellent clinical training conditions not only in Busan but also in various regions through MOUs with dental clinics and hospitals. We will do our utmost to nurture dental hygienists equipped with practical skills and expertise through differentiated educational programs and support programs for obtaining certifications that can be immediately utilized after employment."
