According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, the expected rainfall on the 9th and 10th is forecasted to be 30 to 50 mm in Gwangju and Jeonnam. In some areas, heavy rain exceeding 150 mm may fall.

In particular, due to the strong inflow of the southwest current and the influence of the stationary front, torrential rain of 30 to 50 mm per hour is expected between dawn and morning of the following day. Heavy rain warnings are likely to be issued for most areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam. Since precipitation is expected to be concentrated during the vulnerable time of dawn, special caution is required for safety accidents caused by flooding in low-lying residential areas, landslides, soil erosion, and slope collapses.

On the 11th, as the stationary front moves southward near Jeju Island, the monsoon rain will enter a lull, but the stationary front will reactivate between the 12th and 13th, bringing more monsoon rain.

At sea, dense sea fog is expected in some areas for the time being, and from the night of the 9th to the early morning of the next day, wind warnings will be issued for the southern West Sea and the southwestern South Sea offshore waters.
