The Buk-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City will open the 296th extraordinary session on the 10th and hold the first meeting after the reorganization of the second half.
During this session, a total of 19 agenda items will be handled, including the 2024 major business progress report, 12 ordinances, 1 plan, 1 consent, 2 resolutions, and 2 appointments.
At the 1st plenary session on the 10th, the Budget and Accounts Special Committee and the Ethics Special Committee will be formed and members appointed. By the 15th, reports on the first half progress and second half plans for major tasks of each Buk-gu office will be received.
On the 16th, general agenda items such as the "2024 3rd Extraordinary Shared Property Management Plan," centered on the "Construction of Buk-gu Family Center," will be reviewed, and on-site activities will be conducted by standing committees. On the 18th, the 2nd plenary session will be held to approve the reviewed agenda items and conclude the extraordinary session.
Chairman Choi Mu-song said, "Through listening to the progress of major district administration tasks, we will check whether pending projects for residents are being carried out without any setbacks," and added, "The 20 council members starting their second half term will do their best for the development of Buk-gu and the welfare of its residents."
