On the 9th, a video titled "Pleasureless Responsibility" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'MZjeonja'. This channel is an unofficial LG Electronics YouTube channel run by Senior Manager Choi Jeong-hyun. In the video, Senior Manager Choi is seen sitting with dark circles under his eyes on the sidewalk between the LG Seoul Station Building, where LG Electronics Korea Sales Headquarters is located, and Seoul Station. He even pleaded, "My wife caught me. Please cancel your subscription."

Earlier, on the 4th, Senior Manager Choi made a pledge to "donate 1,000 won per subscriber." At that time, he introduced a donation kiosk installed at the LG Twin Towers and boldly said, "I will try 'my money, my donation' with my salary. I plan to automatically deduct 1,000 won per subscriber from my salary." He also added, "I doubt anyone will subscribe" and "This was not discussed with my wife."

Senior Manager Choi's pledge became a hot topic on social networking services (SNS) and online communities. The tech YouTube channel 'Bbeoljit Research Institute', which has 440,000 subscribers, posted on its community board, "LG Electronics created a YouTube Shorts channel, and the manager said he will donate 1,000 won per subscriber from his own salary," adding, "Let's get 10,000 subscribers and generously delete his salary once."

This phenomenon led to a rapid increase in the channel's subscriber count. The 'MZjeonja' YouTube channel, which had only 38 subscribers, surpassed 8,000 in less than five days. If the pledge is fulfilled, it means donating more than 8 million won.

In response, Senior Manager Choi posted a video sitting down in front of Seoul Station, asking for subscriptions to be canceled, saying, "Honestly, I didn't expect things to get this big," and "I learned in life that you shouldn't attract attention recklessly." He added, "The donation challenge will end at 11:59 PM on the 10th, one week after the video was posted," and appealed, "If it goes too far beyond my salary, I will have a hard time handling it alone. I plan to request support from executives within the company as soon as possible."

Senior Manager Choi also mentioned Kim Seon-tae, a well-known 'publicity man' from Chungju City. He explained, "This donation pledge is not just noise marketing. The company suggested promoting a joyful workplace culture like Mr. Kim, so I created a new personal account and started this. This is absolutely not a fabrication."

Netizens who saw the video responded with comments such as, "It's a donation campaign with a good cause," "I want to press subscribe and delete his salary," "I'm proud that my subscription leads to a donation," "I heard about it and came to donate. Subscribing now," and "This is a very MZ-style donation video."
