A Special 3 Days with Pets... Gumi City to Host Korea Petcation

Pet Festival to Be Held at GumiCo from 12th to 14th

Jeongbeureu Fan Signing Event, Petiquette Talk Concert, and More

The "2024 Korea Petcation," hosted by the Korea MICE Promotion Foundation and sponsored by Gyeongbuk Province and Gumi City, will be held at GUMICO for three days from the 12th to the 14th.

Now in its third year, this event is organized to promote the development of the companion animal industry and to establish a proper pet culture. There are approximately 30,000 households with companion animals in Gumi City.


A total of 61 pet product companies from across the country will participate, operating 84 booths to showcase a variety of products.


The opening ceremony on the 13th will feature a congratulatory performance by singer Park Jiheon of VOS and the Cheonmu Cheerleading Team from Gumi University. There will also be a lecture on "Creating Proper Walking Culture" by Lee Woongjong, famous as the "Animal Farm Uncle," and a talk concert on "Pet Etiquette in Daily Life" by Choi Seunghoon, president of the Companion Animal Rescue Association, to answer questions from pet families and promote a proper pet culture.


A fan signing event with Jungbeureu, a YouTuber with 1.4 million subscribers known for unique animals, will also be held. Visitors can meet adorable small animals like hamsters and pet insects, as well as unique creatures such as tarantulas, snakes, and lizards.


Various pet-related programs will be offered to delight visitors, including: ▲ a free health consultation center operated by veterinarians from Gumi/Daegu ▲ a pet career counseling booth by the Department of Companion Animal Care at Gumi University ▲ interactive activities with rescued animals by the Companion Animal Rescue Association ▲ a spectacular agility show by experts ▲ and homemade treat-making sessions.


During the event, a variety of giveaways and events will be held for visitors. Admission is free, and the event runs from 10 AM to 6 PM. Detailed information can be found on the "Korea Petcation" website.
