SafeWare announced on the 9th that it has supplied the ‘Smart Fall Protection Airbag C3’ to HDC Hyundai Development Company’s construction sites nationwide.
This smart airbag supply is part of HDC Hyundai Development Company’s digital transformation of safety management and strengthening of on-site safety, aimed at protecting workers from falls and slip accidents that may occur at construction sites. HDC Hyundai Development Company is deploying and utilizing the Smart Fall Protection Airbag C3 to ensure workers can safely perform tasks during high-altitude work such as industrial material loading and unloading, A-frame ladder work, and safety fence installation.
SafeWare’s flagship smart safety product, the C3, uses built-in sensors that distinguish between fall accidents and everyday movements. When an accident is detected, the airbag immediately inflates to cover and protect body parts that could suffer serious injuries, such as the head, neck, waist, and pelvis. In the case of the low-power Bluetooth (BLE) connected model, the sensor sends an emergency call to the designated safety manager’s contact as soon as a fall is detected, helping secure the golden rescue time for the accident victim. SafeWare added that the C3 protects one fall accident victim per week across more than 1,000 diverse industrial sites.
Shin Hwan-cheol, CEO of SafeWare, said, “This supply is a very meaningful exchange that can minimize damage to both the company and workers in terms of preventing fall accidents, which account for the largest proportion of industrial accidents.” He added, “We will continue to do our best in product development and dissemination so that everyone can work with peace of mind not only in construction and distribution industrial sites but also in a wider variety of industrial environments.”
