Clean Beach Sinji Myeongsasipri Beach Opens on 13th
Various Attractions Including Sand Sculpture Exhibition, Marine Sports, and Marine Healing Concert Provided
Wando Sinji Myeongsashipri Beach, the best resort on the southern coast boasting fine sand, pine forests, and a wide open pristine sea, will open on the 13th and welcome vacationers until the 18th of next month.
According to the county on the 9th, 10 beaches including Sinji Myeongsashipri and Bogil Jungri Beach will simultaneously open on the 19th.
Sinji Myeongsashipri Beach has received the international certification “Blue Flag,” awarded to safe and eco-friendly beaches, for five consecutive years, and was selected as one of the “Excellent Beaches,” designated to only 10 out of 5,000 beaches worldwide, receiving the “Special mention” award.
During the beach opening period, a comprehensive control room will be operated in cooperation with Wando Police Station, the Coast Guard, and the Fire Station, and about 140 safety and environmental personnel with lifeguard certifications will be hired to ensure the safety of vacationers and maintain a clean beach.
Various attractions and activities have also been prepared. There will be a sand sculpture exhibition themed on marine healing, a flying board show (August 10), a beach volleyball tournament (August 3?4), free marine sports experiences such as paddleboarding and kayaking (August 3?18), a marine healing chicken and beer festival (August 9?10), and plogging events.
On the 3rd of next month, a “Marine Healing Concert” will be held at the Wando Marine Healing Center located in Myeongsashipri to offer vacationers a healing time on summer nights.
The Wando Marine Healing Center is the first marine healing facility in Korea that utilizes marine resources such as marine climate, seawater, mud, and seaweed to promote health activities that heal the body and mind.

In preparation for the summer vacation season, the county will provide restaurant discount coupons to visitors of the Marine Healing Center and hold free and discounted events at major tourist attractions until the 31st of next month.
After visiting the Wando Marine Healing Center, visitors can enjoy free admission to Wando Tower and the Jangbogo Memorial Hall, and receive discounts on Wando Tower monorail (2,000 won), zipline (3,000 won), and Cheonghae Port filming site (20%).
