Korea National Oil Corporation (President Kim Dongseob) conducted the "2024 Disaster Safety Campaign" at Taehwa Market in Jung-gu, Ulsan on June 8, in preparation for heavy rainfall during the summer season.

This campaign was organized to prevent safety accidents such as electric shocks caused by heavy summer rains and to promote a culture of safety. It was jointly conducted with the Taehwa Market Merchants Association under the supervision of the SHE Promotion Office Director, who serves as the company's Chief Safety Officer (CSO).


Together with the Merchants Association, the corporation distributed promotional materials on safety and health regulations to merchants and local residents, shared public action guidelines for disaster situations, and carried out publicity activities to spread a culture of safety.


In addition, they gathered opinions from merchants regarding risk factors within the market, shared accident prevention measures, and provided safety items such as voltage testers, fire escape masks, and raincoats, along with instructions on their use, to help ensure a quick response in the event of a disaster.


A representative from the corporation stated, "The summer season is a time when many safety accidents occur due to seasonal factors such as monsoon rains," and added, "We hope that safety culture campaigns in cooperation with local traditional markets will encourage merchants and citizens to make compliance with safety rules a part of daily life, and serve as an opportunity to strengthen mutual trust and solidarity within the local community."


In addition, the corporation plans to continue a variety of activities to promote a culture of safety, such as participating in industrial safety expos and conducting public-private cooperative disaster safety activities, in order to faithfully fulfill its role as a disaster management agency dedicated to protecting the lives and property of the public.
