Due to the monsoon rain that fell overnight in the Chungnam region, there were a series of damages, including the destruction of houses.

According to Chungnam Province on the 9th, the average rainfall in Chungnam from the 7th to the 9th was 159.4mm, with the highest amount recorded in Hongseong-gun at 216.8mm.

In Boryeong, a house was partially destroyed by the rain, and in Seosan, the retaining wall of a single-family house was washed away. In Dangjin, a factory retaining wall was also damaged.

In Boryeong, Nonsan, Geumsan, Buyeo, and Hongseong, 23.3 hectares of farmland were flooded.

The fire department implemented safety measures for 155 cases, including removing trees and draining water from houses.

Fortunately, there were no casualties, and out of the 144 people who had evacuated, 134 have returned home.

At 11 a.m. on this day, preliminary weather advisories were issued for 15 cities and counties, and landslide warnings were issued for 12 cities and counties.

A provincial official said, "As the monsoon rain is expected to continue, please be cautious when going outside."
