Announcement of Hometown Love Fund Projects No. 1 and 2
Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do is expanding support for socially marginalized groups through the 1st and 2nd projects of the Hometown Love Fund.
According to the county on the 9th, this project, which is being carried out with a total investment of 69 million KRW, is designed to assist families with young children and out-of-school youth in the region.
The 1st project, "Childcare Crew, Comfortable Healing Month for Moms," operates programs for women struggling with childbirth and infant care. It supports the use of the Wando Marine Healing Center program once a week for up to two months and also provides depression screening tests to help create a healthy childcare environment.
Additionally, efforts are being made to support women's health in the community by fostering a childbirth-friendly atmosphere and strengthening maternal and child health services.
The 2nd project supports "Obtaining a Confectionery and Baking Technician Certificate for Out-of-School Youth." This project is designed to help youth achieve independence through career exploration and vocational training.
Through support for over 4,000 participants in last year's Hometown Love Fund project for future hope, a fund of 518 million KRW was raised, and this project aims to extend a helping hand to even more people.
A county official stated, "We will fully utilize the support donated from all over the country to promote transparent and efficient projects."
Wando-gun is being recognized for actively contributing to regional development and trends through the Hometown Love Donation System.
