On the 8th, the Hwaseong Western Police Station in Gyeonggi Province reported that a man in his 50s, identified as A, is suspected of retaliatory driving on a road in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, at around 5:10 p.m. on the 6th. A followed a driver in his 30s, B, at high speed flashing his high beams after B changed lanes and cut in front of A’s vehicle. Then, after driving side by side in the adjacent lane for three minutes, A suddenly turned and collided the front of B’s vehicle with the side of his own car.

After the accident, A reportedly got out of his car and verbally abused B and even made physical contact. B told Channel A, "(A) got out of the car immediately after the accident and ran at me saying, 'Is it all right just to turn on your blinker?' while cursing and pushing me with his chest." It is reported that A left the scene without apologizing after causing the accident.

At the time, B’s vehicle was carrying his wife, who was 24 weeks pregnant, and their two children aged 3 and 4. B’s wife reportedly experienced abdominal pain after the accident and was hospitalized.

Since the damage was caused using a vehicle, if charged with special injury, A could face imprisonment from one to ten years. The police plan to conduct a detailed investigation into A’s actions soon.
