Through the Foresight Centre, Hyundai Motor Group will derive key agendas to proactively respond to geopolitical changes and risk factors in future societies. Additionally, the group plans to secure its competitiveness through innovative and original research aimed at human progress.
The center will conduct long-term outlooks on social changes through discussions and debates with private experts from government agencies, international organizations, and academia. Insights gained from future research expert training programs and leadership workshops will be utilized in establishing Hyundai Motor Group’s future strategies. Furthermore, Hyundai Motor Group will expand an ecosystem reflecting its future vision by linking with its open innovation networks in major countries worldwide, including the United States, China, India, and Singapore.
Professor Rafael Ramirez, a world-renowned authority in future scenario planning research, and Professor Trudy Lang, who has served as a strategic forecasting program leader at the World Economic Forum and as a future strategy advisor in the OECD Secretary-General’s office, have been appointed as heads of the Foresight Centre.
Kim Gyeon, President of the HMG Management Research Institute, stated, “With the paradigm shift in the automotive industry and changes in the management environment, uncertainty is greater than ever before. We expect the Foresight Centre to significantly contribute to cultivating the ability within the organization to view and reconstruct the future from multiple perspectives.”
