Raising Awareness of Information Security in July, the Month of Information Protection
On July 9, the Korea Technology Finance Corporation announced that it will conduct a 'Joint Cybersecurity Campaign' with financial institutions and public organizations in the Busan area to mark Information Security Month in July. This campaign was launched to emphasize the importance of personal information security and prevent cyber damage amid increasing security threats such as cyber fraud and malicious emails exploiting new technologies.
With the support of the National Intelligence Service, major financial institutions and public organizations based in Busan, including the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation, Korea Securities Depository, Korea Asset Management Corporation, Korea Housing Finance Corporation, Korea Ocean Business Corporation, and BNK Busan Bank, are expected to participate together in this campaign.
Throughout July, Kibo plans to raise cybersecurity awareness not only among its executives and employees but also local residents by participating in SNS relay campaigns led by Chairman Kim Jong-ho, producing and posting four types of cybersecurity prevention posters at branches, conducting cybersecurity problem-solving events for all employees, and producing and distributing wet tissues with cybersecurity slogans, emphasizing the practice of cybersecurity in daily life.
Chairman Kim Jong-ho of Kibo stated, “Through this joint campaign, I hope to raise public awareness of the importance of cybersecurity and enhance the security consciousness of Kibo’s executives and employees.” He added, “Kibo will continuously improve the institution’s security level and create a stable digital environment through close cooperation with related organizations.”
