President Yoon Suk-yeol and First Lady Kim Keon-hee arrived in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, on the afternoon of the 8th (local time). President Yoon is scheduled to begin a five-day visit to the United States starting that day.

On the first day of the trip, President Yoon will visit the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific to pay respects and hold a dinner meeting with Korean expatriates.

On the 9th, he plans to visit the United States Indo-Pacific Command to receive a military and security briefing from Commander Samuel Paparo and encourage the troops stationed there.

This marks the first visit by a sitting South Korean president to the Indo-Pacific Command in 29 years, since President Kim Young-sam in 1995.

The Indo-Pacific Command is the largest of the U.S. military's regional unified combatant commands. The U.S. Forces Korea also fall under this command. President Yoon intends to use this visit to demonstrate the strong ROK-U.S. alliance.

After completing a one-night, two-day schedule in Hawaii, President Yoon will move to Washington D.C. to attend the NATO summit, the core event of this visit.

President Yoon will hold relay bilateral meetings with more than five NATO member countries including the Czech Republic, Sweden, and Finland, and will sequentially attend the Indo-Pacific Four (IP4, South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand) leaders' meeting, as well as the NATO allies and partners summit.
