Operating the 'Maeum Anshim Bus' in Collaboration with Seoul Mental Health Welfare Center
Jung-gu District in Seoul is providing on-site psychological counseling services for witnesses and citizens involved in a traffic accident at the City Hall Station intersection. In cooperation with the Seoul Mental Health Welfare Center, the "Mind Relief Bus" will visit citizens nearby.
The location was chosen considering accessibility for accident witnesses and citizens, and will be set on the sidewalk near the Hanwha Investment & Securities Building. The service will operate twice for three hours each, from 1 PM to 4 PM on the 9th and 11th of this month, with 4 to 5 mental health professionals assigned.
Anyone in need of psychological counseling due to the traffic accident at City Hall Station intersection, including on-site workers, witnesses, and nearby residents, can use the service on-site without prior registration.
Trauma is difficult to overcome because it is an unconscious reaction beyond one’s control. Although natural recovery may occur over time, professional help is necessary when the trauma is severe.
If counseling cannot be received during the Mind Relief Bus operating hours or if telephone counseling is preferred, individuals can contact the crisis counseling hotline (109) or the Jung-gu Mental Health Welfare Center for assistance.
