Busan, Korea's First Coffee-Drinking City, to Promote Authenticity and Identity
The city of Busan has appointed singer Paul Kim as an ambassador to promote "Coffee City Busan" and will hold an appointment ceremony at 10 a.m. on the 9th in the International Protocol Room at City Hall.

At the ceremony, Mayor Park will personally present the appointment plaque and express his gratitude to Paul Kim.
Paul Kim gained great popularity with his 2014 debut song "Shall We Have a Cup of Coffee?" and has since received widespread love from the public through numerous hit songs and work on drama and film soundtracks.
Paul Kim's upright and smart image has garnered him a wide fan base across all ages and genders, and is expected to greatly contribute to raising the brand awareness of "Coffee City Busan."
With this appointment, Paul Kim will serve as the ambassador for Coffee City Busan for the next year, participating in the production of a coffee travel documentary and engaging in various activities to promote the authenticity and identity of Busan as Korea's first city of coffee consumption.
To promote "Coffee City Busan," the city plans to produce a coffee travel documentary titled "Shall We Have a Cup of Coffee?" and release it on broadcast and online video service (OTT) platforms this September.
Based on the popularity of his signature song "Shall We Have a Cup of Coffee?" which marks its 10th anniversary this year, Paul Kim will appear in the documentary of the same name to showcase the various charms of "Coffee City Busan."
In addition to appointing Paul Kim as an ambassador, the city plans to create various new media content with multiple ambassadors to elevate Busan's city brand and increase citizen engagement.
Singer Paul Kim said, "I am very pleased to be able to promote the beauty and coffee culture of Busan as the ambassador for Coffee City Busan," and added, "I will actively participate in the coffee travel documentary that the city will produce so that everyone can think of Busan as a city where you enjoy a cup of coffee."
