Kwonikwi Confirms 'Closure Resolution' on Mrs. Kim's Luxury Bag Allegation

On the 8th, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission held a plenary meeting at the Government Sejong Complex and finalized the resolution and minutes that closed the case regarding the suspicion of luxury handbag receipt involving Kim Geon-hee, wife of President Yoon Seok-yeol.

The resolution includes the basis for the Commission's decision last month on the 10th to close the case, stating that the luxury handbag gifts received by Mrs. Kim have no relevance to the President's official duties and therefore are not subject to reporting.

Previously, the Commission attempted to finalize the resolution and minutes at the plenary meeting held on the 24th of last month, but the effort failed as some members insisted that minority opinions should be included in the resolution.
