Active Professional Baseball Player Booked on Charges of Assaulting Girlfriend

An active professional baseball player was arrested by the police on charges of assaulting his girlfriend.

On the 8th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked and are investigating professional baseball player Mr. A on assault charges.

Mr. A is accused of assaulting his girlfriend, Ms. B, at a restaurant in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, around 10 p.m. on the 7th.

Ms. B reportedly claimed, "When I informed Mr. A of our breakup, he threw me to the ground and assaulted me." Mr. A is said to be denying the charges.

Mr. A was sent home from the scene, and the police plan to summon him soon to investigate the specific circumstances of the incident.
