Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Yoon Byung-tae) continues to maintain the strong enthusiasm for mutual cross-donations of hometown love donations.
The Tourism Division of Naju City recently announced on the 8th that it joined the mutual cross-donation of hometown love donations with the Urban Design Division of Yeongam County, taking action to practice local love.
This mutual cross-donation was promoted based on a personal connection between the team leaders of the two departments.
Kim Hyo-kyung, head of the Tourism Division of Naju City, said, “Through this mutual cross-donation, I hope the culture of hometown love donations will spread and cooperation between the two local governments will be further activated. Since donors can receive income tax deduction benefits and valuable return gifts, we will actively participate in mutual donations with various local governments in the future.”
Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation System is a system that allows individuals to donate up to 5 million KRW annually to local governments other than their registered residence.
Up to 100,000 KRW is fully deductible, and for the amount exceeding 100,000 KRW, a 16.5% tax credit benefit is available. Donors receive return gifts equivalent to 30% of the donation amount.
