Kkandeul Madanggeuk Village from 11th to 13th
Kkamang Theater Opening Ceremony Also to Be Held
The Kndeul Culture and Arts Center in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam, announced on the 8th that it will hold the "Joyful Kndeul Festival" from the 11th to the 13th at the Kndeul Madanggeuk Village in Sancheong-eup. The event will feature a variety of programs, including madanggeuk (traditional outdoor theater), small performances, traditional performances, concerts, busking, and art exhibitions.
Performances will include the madanggeuk "Jjillekkot," the one-man play "On the Harmfulness of Tobacco," and the poetry play "Between My Wife and Me."
Additionally, there will be "Donghae Samojangchum" by Busan dancer Kang Joomi, "Yeongnam Chaesang Seoljanggu" by Busan Nongak master Park Jonghwan, "Jeongbyeongnyu Bukcheong Saja Noleum" by the performance troupe Jukja Saja, guitar performance by guitarist Kim Dongwook, accordion performance by Kndeul actor Kim Jeonggyeong, and flute performance by Hwang Jeongin, who has performed with a West African arts group.
In particular, on the 11th, the opening ceremony for the "Kkamang Theater," the indoor performance hall at Kndeul Madanggeuk Village, will also take place. Other events include youth busking, a pungmul (traditional percussion) parade, a mountain fishing spot for children, an art exhibition by stage director Park Chunwoo, as well as a village restaurant and cafe. Audience participation is limited to 150 people per day, and tickets can be reserved via link or phone.
