Academy in Progress... Advice and Experience Sharing from Production Sites
Netflix and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 8th that they held the 'Next-Generation Expert Production Academy' on the 4th and 5th at the Hongneung Content Talent Campus in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. They introduced the job roles and skills necessary for content production to over 300 participants attending both online and offline, and shared advice and experiences about the production field.
The speakers included Director Han Jun-hee of 'D.P', PD Kim Yeon-ho of 'Hellbound', PD Jung Hyo-min of 'Hyori's Homestay', and PD Jang Ho-gi of 'Physical: 100'. Sound Supervisor Kim Seok-won, Post Supervisor Song Min-su, Special Makeup Director Hwang Hyo-gyun, Colorist Park Jin-young, and Editing Director Han Mi-yeon, who worked on 'Parasite' and 'Hellbound', also participated to share their experiences.
Ha Jung-soo, Head of Netflix Korea Production, said, "The completeness of content is created together by creators throughout the entire production process," adding, "Netflix is focusing on nurturing next-generation experts so that K-content can reach a larger global audience through various educational programs covering the detailed production process from pre-production to actual filming and post-production."
Kim Yong-seop, Director of the Media Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, who delivered the keynote speech, said, "I believe that the editors, technical directors, and directors gathered here are the foundation behind the achievements of Korean content thriving in the global market," and added, "The government also considers the content industry a national representative industry and will continue to support it with various policies."
