Lotte Mall Success in Vietnam... West Lake Hanoi Sales Reach 200 Billion Won

Following 100 Billion Won in January, a Record in Just 5 Months This Year

Lotte Shopping announced on the 8th that Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi has surpassed 200 billion KRW in sales.


Following the achievement of 100 billion KRW in sales in just one month this January in Vietnam, the cumulative sales exceeded the 200 billion KRW mark last month, five months later.

Lotte Shopping cited 'innovative MD' as the first success factor. This reflects the Vietnamese population structure, where 60% are under 40 years old, resulting in the attraction of many brands favored by the younger generation. Lotte Mall Hanoi is the only store that simultaneously houses global fast fashion brands such as Zara, Uniqlo, Massimo Dutti, Pull&Bear, and Mango.


Since its grand opening in September last year, it has added more than 20 new stores, including popular local F&B brands such as Sa Doo, Pizza Poppies, and Ten Thousand Cafe. The cumulative number of visitors to the store exceeds 8 million.


At the same time, the DNA of Seoul Jamsil Lotte World Mall, which has emerged as a 'popup sanctuary,' was transplanted to Lotte Mall Hanoi. They have consecutively showcased the first large-scale popups locally at the 826㎡ (approximately 250 pyeong) indoor atrium plaza and the 1650㎡ (500 pyeong) outdoor fountain plaza. Over 30 popups were held, ranging from luxury beauty brands like Chanel Beauty, Dior Beauty, Lego, and Coach to fashion product lines, incorporating experiential content. The cumulative number of popup visitors reached 1 million, with an average of over 30,000 visitors per event. The Chanel Beauty popup recorded the highest number of visitors, attracting 100,000 people.


This summer, they will showcase the essence of 'Molcance' (Mall + Vacation). Until early August, which is the summer vacation and holiday period in Vietnam, the indoor temperature will be consistently maintained at 24℃, the optimal temperature for shopping, and events that families can enjoy together will be prepared. The L7 Hotel will offer special package products linked with content available at Lotte Mall, such as cinema, aquarium, and KidZania.


In the second half of the year, they will focus on expanding 'customer benefits' by strengthening 'membership.' Regarding 'LS.Point Members,' which recently surpassed 90,000 members, a festival will be held from the 12th to the 21st, offering commemorative gifts to new membership sign-ups and providing 5% points accumulation based on purchase amounts. Additionally, they plan to expand into new categories such as home appliances, jewelry, and automobiles, holding large popups every month until the end of the year.


Lee Hee-seung, the store manager of Lotte Mall Hanoi, said, "Lotte Mall Hanoi popups are gaining popularity by providing new attractions and shopping destinations to local residents," adding, "We will continue to differentiate ourselves as a complex shopping mall that can represent Vietnam."
