Panda Twins' First Birthday Party, What Were the Doljabi Results?

On the morning of the 7th, Everland held a first birthday party for Giant Panda Fu Bao's twin siblings, Rui Bao and Hui Bao, at Panda World. As birthday gifts for the twin pandas, a wooden car symbolizing a smooth and obstacle-free life, along with a cake made of carrots and bamboo, were prepared.

Sixty invited fans and Everland zoo staff attended the birthday party as part of a pre-event. There was also a special talk session featuring zookeepers Kang Cheol-won and Song Young-kwan. Everland broadcasted the birthday party live through its official YouTube channel and Samsung TV Plus channel 707, "Bao Family."

Rui Bao and Hui Bao were born on July 7 last year to mother Ai Bao and father Le Bao. While preparing for the first birthday party, Everland prepared five items made of bamboo symbolizing wishes for the twins' health and happiness: a brush (wisdom), a judge's gavel (honor), a ball (talent), a microphone (popularity), and a dumbbell (health).

Rui Bao, having a quiet personality, chose the "dumbbell" after much thought. On the other hand, the mischievous and bold Hui Bao quickly picked up the "microphone."

Before the doljabi (first birthday grab) event, Everland also held a prediction event guessing which item the twins would choose. From the 1st of this month, the event was conducted via Naver Open Talk, and the most popular predictions were that Rui Bao would choose the brush and Hui Bao would choose the ball. As of 9 a.m. on the day, about 20,000 people had participated in the event.

"Panda Grandpa" zookeeper Kang Cheol-won briefly shared his feelings upon reuniting with Fu Bao after three months. Kang said, "I told Fu Bao to take care and returned yesterday (the 6th). I think your support will be needed for Fu Bao, who arrived safely."

Earlier, he reunited with Fu Bao on the 4th, 92 days after their separation. Kang toured the enclosure where Fu Bao lives and called his name to interact. Fu Bao reportedly responded to the voice and approached closely, showing signs of recognizing Kang.
