The buyer of the most expensive detached and multi-family house transaction this year is known to be ‘i-i Combined,’ the operator of Gentle Monster. Gentle Monster is an eyewear brand gaining popularity by featuring BLACKPINK member Jennie as its model.
According to News1 on the 7th, a detached house with a total floor area of 305.62㎡ located in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was sold for 28.5 billion KRW in March. Since there was no separate loan registration, it is presumed that the purchase was made entirely in cash.
The buyer of this house was i-i Combined, and according to real estate registry documents, there was no separate loan registration, indicating that the transaction was made entirely in cash. The total floor area of this house is 305.62㎡ (approximately 92 pyeong). The house, which i-i Combined purchased for a large sum, is located about 50 meters in a straight line from the Gentle Monster House Dosan store.
In November last year, i-i Combined also purchased a commercial and office building (total floor area 445.21㎡) right next to this house for 34 billion KRW. Since the Gentle Monster House Dosan is leased, there has been speculation about the possibility of relocating the store.

On a consolidated basis last year, i-i Combined recorded sales of 608.27035162 billion KRW and an operating profit of 151.114635519 billion KRW.
In addition to Gentle Monster, i-i Combined operates brands such as Tamburins (perfumes, etc.) and Nudeake (desserts). Jennie is also a model for Tamburins, and thanks to a large photo of Jennie displayed at the Tamburins flagship store on ‘Serosu-gil’ in Sinsa-dong, Seoul, the location has become a tourist attraction visited by foreigners and others.
