According to the telecommunications industry on the 7th, the Galaxy Z Flip6 256GB model is reportedly priced at 1,485,000 KRW, and the Galaxy Z Fold6 256GB model at 2,229,700 KRW for domestic sales. Compared to the previous models Flip5 and Fold5 (256GB basis), which were launched at 1,399,200 KRW and 2,097,700 KRW respectively, this represents a price increase of about 80,000 to 130,000 KRW. The price increase for the 512GB models is expected to be similar.

The industry analysis suggests that the price increase is due to the new foldable phones being equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and upgraded specifications such as camera and battery. However, it is also analyzed that the pricing policy of setting the domestic retail price at the lowest level, as with the previous models, will continue.

According to overseas tipster predictions, the launch prices of the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Fold6 in the United States are expected to rise by about $100 compared to the previous models. Last year, the US retail price for the Flip5 (256GB) was $999.99, and for the Fold5 (256GB) was $1799.99.

This year, the Flip6 (256GB) is expected to be priced at $1099.99, and the Fold6 (256GB) at $1899.99. Applying the recent KRW-USD exchange rate of 1,390 KRW and the US sales tax rate of 5-10% depending on the region, the prices translate to approximately 1,600,000 to 1,680,000 KRW and 2,770,000 to 2,900,000 KRW respectively, which is at least 140,000 KRW higher than last year.

The new foldable series will enhance AI features, allowing the Galaxy AI real-time translation function to be used not only with Galaxy phone functions but also with various third-party messaging applications (apps) that support voice calls, such as KakaoTalk.

The Galaxy Watch7, announced alongside the foldable series, is expected to have an Ultra model priced around 890,000 KRW. The Galaxy Ring, which has attracted attention as the first ring-shaped device, is reported to be priced in the 490,000 KRW range domestically.

Focused on healthcare functions, the Galaxy Ring is expected to highlight sleep quality measurement and management as its core features. While the typical wearable form factor has been watch-shaped, considering that some people remove their watches before going to bed, the Galaxy Ring is expected to be more useful for sleep management.

An industry insider said, "I understand that the Galaxy Ring will come in a thin and light form that does not interfere even when worn on the finger while sleeping," adding, "Because it can be worn 24 hours a day, it will be a form factor that can more closely measure and manage sleep status, blood sugar, and heart rate."
