[Tomorrow's Weather] Heavy Monsoon Rain Mainly in Central Regions... Accompanied by Thunder and Lightning

Expected Rainfall in Seoul 20-60mm

On Monday the 8th, the whole country will be mostly cloudy, with strong and heavy rain accompanied by gusts of wind, thunder, and lightning mainly in the central regions.

Rain will also fall in Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk area, northwestern inland Gyeongnam, and Jeju Island. In northern Jeonnam, there will be occasional rain from dawn to daytime. Expected precipitation amounts are 20 to 60 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Jeonbuk, and northern Gyeongbuk. The West Sea Five Islands are expected to receive 5 to 40 mm, and the Chungcheong region 30 to 80 mm.

The east coast of Gangwon and northern Jeonnam will record 5 to 20 mm, Daegu and southern Gyeongbuk, northwestern inland Gyeongnam, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo 5 to 30 mm, and Jeju Island 5 to 10 mm.

The morning low temperature is forecast to be between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 25 and 32 degrees Celsius.

In the southern regions and Jeju Island where heatwave warnings are in effect, as well as some inland central areas and the east coast of Gangwon, the highest perceived temperature will rise to around 33 degrees Celsius. In Gwangju, parts of Jeonnam, and parts of southern Gyeongbuk, the highest perceived temperature will rise to around 35 degrees Celsius, making it very hot. For the time being, most other regions nationwide will also experience highest perceived temperatures around 31 degrees Celsius, so caution against heat-related illnesses is advised.

Fine dust levels will be 'Good' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the influence of precipitation.

Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the near seas of the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea. In the outer seas (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 1.0 to 2.5 meters in the East Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea and South Sea.
