June 5, 2-6 PM at the Center Auditorium, Over 50 Counselors from Private Child Protection Agencies to Attend
Topics: Strengthening Work Competency, Burnout Prevention, Pathological Traits of Abusers, Counseling Techniques, Personal Color
The Busan Child Protection Center held the '2024 Child Abuse Response Personnel Training' in the center's main auditorium from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the 5th.
This training was conducted to strengthen the job competencies of child protection agency counselors, who are responsible for counseling and case management for victims and perpetrators of child abuse in the field, and to prevent burnout.
On this day, about 50 counselors from private child protection agencies attended the training, which covered topics such as understanding the pathological characteristics of abusers and counseling techniques, as well as burnout prevention through personal color analysis.
Through this training, it is expected that private counselors will gain a deeper understanding of the diverse characteristics of child abuse victims and perpetrators, and that by alleviating their work-related stress, the quality of child abuse counseling will be improved.
Won Seyoun, director of the city Child Protection Center, stated, "I hope this training will enhance the expertise of child protection agency counselors," adding, "We will continue to conduct joint training for response personnel?including private counselors, district and county officials, and police (APO)?to strengthen cooperation and solidarity among child abuse response staff, and strive for further advancement in child abuse prevention and response measures."
The city Child Protection Center, as the central child protection agency in Busan, has been steadily promoting education, public awareness, psychological therapy, and other projects to prevent child abuse and support child victims, in order to create a Busan where children can be happy.
