The U.S. Department of Labor announced on the 5th (local time) that nonfarm payrolls in the United States increased by 206,000 in June compared to the previous month.
This figure falls significantly short of the average monthly increase of 220,000 over the past 12 months. However, it exceeded the expert forecast of 200,000 compiled by Dow Jones.
The unemployment rate for June was 4.1%, surpassing the expert forecast of 4.0%.
