[Weather] Thunder and Lightning in Central Region with Jangma Rain... Start of 'Jjimtong Heat'

On the 6th, heavy monsoon rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected to fall mainly in the central region. The expected rainfall for the day is 20-60mm in Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi, and the West Sea 5 Islands, and around 5mm on the east coast of Gangwon.

Rain will begin in the central region and North Gyeongsang from dawn. Between morning and afternoon, the Chungcheong area and North Gyeongsang will enter a lull.

There will be occasional rain in northern Jeonbuk at dawn, and from late night, monsoon rain will resume starting from Jeonbuk, northern Jeonnam, and Jeju Island.

During the weekend, the Chungnam area in Chungcheong is expected to receive up to 100mm of rain. During the same period, Jeonbuk will see 30-80mm. Northern inland North Gyeongsang is forecasted to have 30-80mm, and northwestern inland South Gyeongsang 10-40mm. Ulleungdo and Dokdo will receive 5-20mm, and Jeju Island 5-30mm of rain.

The highest apparent temperature will rise to around 31 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country for the time being. In the southern region, Jeju Island, some inland central areas, and the east coast of Gangwon, the highest apparent temperature may reach around 33 degrees Celsius.

The morning low temperature is forecasted to be 20-25 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature 27-35 degrees Celsius.

Fine dust concentration is expected to be at a 'Good' level across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the effect of precipitation.
