Challenge! Golden Bell! On the 5th, in the main auditorium of Gwangjin-gu Office, employees with serious expressions gathered together amid enthusiastic cheers.

Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) held the event ‘Challenge! Gwangjin Golden Bell with Good Friends’ to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the 8th elected term. The term ‘Good Friends’ given to the employees reflects Mayor Kim’s open-minded commitment to always stand on the same side.

Before the competition, participants watched a self-produced video commemorating the 2nd anniversary of the 8th elected term by the Public Relations Officer, and Mayor Kim Kyung-ho opened the Golden Bell with the first question he prepared.

When asked about the 2024 Gwangjin-gu integrity rating, everyone simultaneously wrote ‘1’ and shook their answer boards vigorously.

This Golden Bell competition was divided into the first preliminary round, repechage, and the second final round, where participants answered 30 multiple-choice and subjective questions related to major projects and issues concerning Gwangjin-gu. Questions were drawn from six key areas of the 8th elected term’s vision, ‘Happy Gwangjin Developing through Communication’: ▲Balanced Development ▲Mutual Welfare ▲Economic Vitality ▲Culture and Education ▲Safety and Environment ▲Open Communication.

The participating employees listened attentively to the questions and wrote down their answers seriously. Moments of cheers and sighs alternated continuously depending on the correct answers announced by the host.

After fierce competition, three individuals who rang the final Golden Bell were selected as Gwangjin’s knowledge kings. The participating employees shared their thoughts, saying, “It was a very meaningful time with colleagues. Especially, it was a good opportunity to study and learn about the projects we are promoting.”

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “Thanks to the employees who worked hard together for the residents, the blueprint for the 8th elected term is being filled in,” and added, “With a consistent love for Gwangjin, we will complete Happy Gwangjin that develops through communication.”
