Cash Found in Plastic Bag in Flower Bed
Investigation Planned to Find Owner and Possible Criminal Charges
A plastic bag containing 50 million won was found in a flower bed at an apartment complex in Ulsan.
On the 5th, the Ulsan Southern Police Station reported that a security guard at the apartment discovered bundles of cash inside a black plastic bag placed in the flower bed during the morning hours and reported it. Upon verification by the police, the total amount of cash was 50 million won, with 50,000 won bills bundled with bank straps.
The police are analyzing the closed-circuit television (CCTV) around the apartment to find the owner of the money, and are also checking the bank indicated on the straps to identify the withdrawer. If the owner of the cash bundles is found, the police plan to investigate whether there is any connection to criminal activity.

Meanwhile, a gold bar that had been lost was found at a recycling sorting center in a high-end apartment complex in the Gangnam area of Seoul. A post titled "The Prestige of Seoul A Apartment Recycling Center" was uploaded on an online community, drawing attention. The author shared a photo of a notice posted in the apartment, stating, "Even lost items in this apartment are on a different scale." The notice was posted last month by the Banpo Ja-i Recycling Center. According to the notice, on June 27 at around 3:30 p.m., an employee working at the recycling sorting center found the gold bar inside a CD player box.
On the 4th, JTBC reported that the apartment recycling center stated, "The owner recently appeared and retrieved the gold bar." The center declined to provide further details. The owner of the gold bar is known to be a man in his 70s, who reportedly said that he accidentally threw it away at the recycling center.
