Silla University (President Heo Namsik) University Job Plus Center held the 'Hanwha Ocean Digital Company Tour & Employment Briefing Session' for young people in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region.
Silla University University Job Plus Center held a company visit to Hanwha Ocean Digital and a job information session.
On June 25, the Silla University University Job Plus Center, in collaboration with the Busan HRD Center of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Hanwha Ocean Digital, organized a company tour and employment briefing session to enhance understanding of the digital shipbuilding and marine industry and to discover talent in the advanced ICT technology sector.
This event, which was attended by 25 unemployed youths from the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region, included ▲ an introduction to leading companies and on-site safety training ▲ a field trip to Hanwha Ocean Digital in Geoje ▲ a briefing on ocean business trends and the Ministry of Employment and Labor's K-Digital Training ▲ a Q&A session with company representatives, making it a highly beneficial experience. In particular, the fact that the employment briefing session was held alongside the company tour at the Hanwha Ocean Digital Geoje site made the event even more meaningful for the participating youths.
Since May, Silla University University Job Plus Center, Busan HRD Center of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Hanwha Ocean Digital have signed a pre-agreement to operate this program, putting in significant effort to support young people who will lead the future shipbuilding and marine industry. As a result, the program received a highly positive response from participants.
One student who participated in the event shared, "I was deeply impressed by the systematic system and scale of a large company, and it was especially helpful to resolve many of my questions through the Q&A session with actual employees working on-site."
Jang Heejung, head of the Silla University University Job Plus Center, stated, "We will continue to operate high-quality programs that provide valuable information to job seekers by collaborating not only with companies but also with local universities."
