70-Year-Old Man Carrying Weapon Arrested After Visiting Police Precinct Saying "I Will Harm Lee Jae-myung"

The police have booked a man in his 70s who came to a police substation armed with a weapon, saying he intended to harm Lee Jae-myung, the former leader of the Democratic Party of Korea.

On the 5th, the Western Seoul Police Station announced that it is investigating Mr. A on suspicion of special obstruction of official duties after he visited a police substation in Eunpyeong-gu around 4:40 p.m. the previous day, stating his intention to "go harm Lee Jae-myung" while carrying a weapon.


Mr. A was intoxicated at the time, and the investigation found no connection to any political party. The police released Mr. A after completing the investigation.
