Busan Port Authority (BPA) conducted an on-site inspection on July 4 at the hinterland of the South Container Terminal at Busan New Port and the planned construction site of Jinhae New Port.
The inspection was carried out to ensure smooth preparation for the operation of the South Container Terminal hinterland and the seamless commencement of Jinhae New Port construction. The event was attended by President Kang Junseok, BPA officials, and construction site representatives.
Kang and others also visited the site of reinforcement works for vulnerable facilities (slopes) within the New Port to conduct safety inspections in preparation for heavy rains during the monsoon season.
Kang Junseok stated, "We will meticulously manage the operation of the developing port hinterland and the construction of the first container terminal at Jinhae New Port to ensure everything proceeds without setbacks, and we will also make every effort to ensure construction safety."
