Asan City in Chungnam announced on the 5th that it has introduced an electronic deposit seizure system to improve the collection rate of delinquent taxes.

The electronic deposit seizure system is an online system that allows real-time processing of seizure, collection, and release by checking the delinquent taxpayer's main bank.

The process of deposit seizure, which previously relied on manual work such as confirming the seizure bank, printing documents, and mailing, has been simplified, significantly shortening the period required for collection.

A city official stated, "Collecting delinquent taxes is essential for securing the financial soundness of local governments," and added, "We will continue to strictly enforce tax laws to ensure that delinquent taxes are collected and contribute to the budget for citizens."
