At 12:43 a.m. on the 5th, a fire broke out at an aluminum casting factory in Hanam-eup, Miryang, Gyeongnam Province.

According to the Gyeongnam Fire Department, a report was received that a fire had started in a warehouse storing 10 tons of aluminum waste, accompanied by a loud "bang" sound.

The fire authorities issued Level 1 fire response, mobilizing all equipment and personnel from the local fire station, and deployed 30 vehicles and 213 personnel to extinguish the fire.

The fire destroyed the entire warehouse building and part of the office building, and partially burned or scorched a nearby textile factory, resulting in property damage estimated at approximately 700 million won by the fire department.

All two workers from the aluminum casting factory and five employees from the textile factory escaped unharmed, and there were no casualties.
