Plantynet's subsidiary PlantM announced on the 5th that it has launched the mobile app for its magazine streaming service 'Moazin'.
Moazin is a streaming service that allows users to enjoy over 1,600 types of domestic and international magazines like music and videos, regardless of location or device. Unlike existing e-book services focused on standalone books, Moazin offers specialized features and a high-quality viewer tailored to magazine content. With the largest variety and number of magazines in the industry, subscribers can freely choose and read magazines across various fields.
A PlantM representative explained, "The Moazin service, which provides deep insights and refined information by category, can relieve the intellectual thirst and fatigue of modern people. Through magazines in diverse fields, users can easily and conveniently access highly reliable magazine content written and edited by expert editors in each category."
The newly launched Moazin includes an AI-powered magazine recommendation feature called ‘AI Curation’. When signing up for the service, users can select their hobbies and interests to receive magazine recommendations tailored to their preferences.
It also offers a ‘Text View Mode’ for user convenience. In the future, a ‘Real-time Translation’ feature will be updated to allow users to read overseas magazines in their desired language.
To provide differentiated services, PlantM has been receiving the latest overseas magazine content since 2015 through a business partnership with the global magazine platform Zinio. Recently, through an MOU with the Korea Magazine Association, it has been discovering excellent domestic publishers and supporting the digitization of content, playing a connecting role that positively impacts the Korean magazine industry.
CEO Hwang Chang-yeon said, "Moazin is expected to be recognized as a service that offers an interesting and healthy experience not only for the older generation accustomed to paper magazines but also for the MZ generation who feel fatigued by short-form content.”
