Seoul Gangseo-gu Deungchon-dong 365-27 Area
Seoul City Urban and Architectural Joint Committee Designates District Unit Planning Zone
A residential complex with 962 households will be developed near Deungchon Station on Seoul Subway Line 9.
On the 5th, Seoul City announced that it held the 9th Urban and Architectural Joint Committee meeting on the 4th and approved a revised designation and planning decision for the district unit planning zone in the area of 365-27 Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu.
According to this district unit plan decision, a residential complex with up to 21 floors and a total of 962 households (including 41 rental housing units) will be constructed on the site. This area has been evaluated as needing new housing supply and infrastructure maintenance, as more than 73% of the buildings are old or in poor condition.
Existing old residential areas, roads, and school routes will be refurbished. Roads will be widened and adjusted to provide a pleasant walking environment for citizens, including hikers using Bongjesan and Deungmaru Neighborhood Parks, and safe school routes will be established for nearby elementary and middle schools.
Additionally, to preserve the natural landscape zone in the northern part of the site, a low-rise arrangement zone (8 floors or less) will be designated, and the scale and height will be planned considering the surrounding parks, schools, and low-rise residential areas.
The city stated, “We expect this housing supply linked to the station area to greatly contribute to the maintenance of old residential areas and the stabilization of housing for low-income residents.”
