Latest Data on Busan Port Vision and Functions Included
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Junseok) announced on the 4th that it has published the "2024 Busan Port Map and Promotional Brochure" to effectively promote the diverse functions, roles, and future vision of Busan Port both domestically and internationally.
The newly published promotional materials reflect the Authority's newly declared vision, its 2030 management goals, the opening of New Port Terminal 7, and other major changes, as well as various statistics and important business plans related to Busan Port.
The Busan Port map, designed in a foldable leaflet format, visually presents the geographic locations of North Port and New Port, along with the facility status of all terminals for easy understanding.
Key statistics such as cargo handling performance between Busan Port and various countries, regular shipping routes, and major changes like the completion of New Port Terminal 7 and the upcoming second phase of the North Port redevelopment are also illustrated on the map.
The promotional brochure introduces BPA’s newly established vision and 2030 management goals in celebration of its 20th anniversary this year, along with strategic directions and initiatives for achieving these goals. It also contains the latest key statistics, including container cargo handling performance and transshipment volumes.
Updates include the status of BPA's overseas logistics hubs, such as the logistics center in LA/LB, USA, the operational status of New Port Terminal 7?the first fully automated terminal in Korea?and the current status of hinterland complexes.
BPA practices ESG management by using eco-friendly paper and ink for the promotional brochure each year. To broaden public access to information, easy Korean is used instead of foreign languages, and the names have been changed to "Busan Port Map" for the leaflet and "Promotional Brochure" for the brochure.
Kang Junseok, President of BPA, stated, "The newly produced map and promotional brochure will provide comprehensive information about Busan Port to various domestic and international stakeholders, enhancing understanding and promoting the port's competitiveness. We will continue to develop promotional content to further elevate the status of Busan Port."
The promotional publications can be viewed and downloaded from the Authority’s website. The included materials may be used in accordance with the Public Nuri Type 4 license under the Copyright Act, which stipulates 'attribution, non-commercial use, and no modifications.'
