Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, held a dialogue with 100 residents at the Mapo District Office audiovisual room on the afternoon of the 4th regarding the establishment of a new DMC (Digital Media City) Station on the Daejang~Hongdae Line.
This meeting was arranged to accelerate the addition of the DMC Station as the project has been officially launched following the approval of the Daejang~Hongdae Line implementation agreement by the Ministry of Economy and Finance in May, with construction scheduled to begin within the year.
Before the main discussion, the head of the Transportation Administration Department explained to the residents the current status and future plans of Mapo District's efforts to establish the DMC Station on the Daejang~Hongdae Line.
Afterwards, residents had a session of discussion and Q&A with Mayor Park Gang-su regarding the establishment of the DMC Station on the Daejang~Hongdae Line.
Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo District said, “DMC Station is a transfer station where three lines intersect, with a daily floating population of 120,000. Due to the development projects in the Sangam-dong area, transportation demand is expected to increase explosively. We ask for the active interest and cooperation of all district residents to ensure the DMC Station is established on the Daejang~Hongdae Line.”
