President Yoon Suk-yeol appointed Yong Ho-seong, Director of the International Cultural Promotion Policy Office at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as the 1st Vice Minister of the Ministry on the 4th, the Presidential Office announced.
Vice Minister Yong, who passed the 35th Administrative Examination, graduated from Korea University with a degree in Public Administration. He later earned a Ph.D. in Arts Management from Kyung Hee University and has accumulated over 30 years of policy experience across the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in areas such as culture and arts, content, and public relations.
A Presidential Office official stated, "Not only does he possess extensive practical experience and a theoretical foundation in the cultural and arts policy field overseen by the 1st Vice Minister, but he also has an excellent understanding of the current administration's national philosophy and outstanding capability in executing tasks, so we expect him to contribute to realizing a global cultural powerhouse."
