Soonchunhyang University Supports Chungnam Companies in Expanding Market Access in Malaysia Soonchunhyang University Regional Specialized Youth Trade Expert Training Project Group (GTEP) participated in the '2024 Malaysia International Food Exhibition' held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Suncheonhyang University Regional Specialized Youth Trade Expert Training Project Group (GTEP) participated in the '2024 Malaysia International Food Exhibition' held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, taking the lead in opening overseas markets for companies in the Chungnam region.


GTEP, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and operated by the Korea International Trade Association, is a project that fosters future trade professionals to support the export of small and medium-sized enterprises through regionally specialized education and practical training focused on overseas markets. Currently, 20 universities nationwide participate, with Suncheonhyang University being the only one from Chungnam.


The exhibition, held from the 2nd to the 4th, featured about 300 companies related to food and beverages, seafood products, halal, seasonings and spices, alternative meat, and food technology. The project group supported overseas market development, marketing, buyer consultations, and on-site sales for excellent Chungnam-based companies such as Moyangmatkim, Geumsan Ginseng Cooperative, Byeol Food, Gwangcheon Woorimatkim, and Aram.


GTEP Project Director An Kyung-ae said, “I hope this exhibition will be a meaningful moment for GTEP students, who are nurturing their dreams of becoming global trade experts, to enhance their overseas marketing capabilities,” adding, “The university will continue to actively support the training of professionals who can contribute to the overseas expansion of excellent domestic small and medium-sized enterprises.”
