Recently, a post appeared on Instagram saying, "I was slapped with bread randomly at a Gangnam Station cafe." The author, Mr. A, shared a video of the incident, saying, "If it had been a knife or acid instead of bread..."
The video shows a person wearing a hat, presumed to be a woman, entering through the back door and throwing bread at the seated customers. The surrounding customers looked on in shock, and the person who threw the bread quickly fled the scene.

Mr. A explained the subsequent situation in the comments. He said, "I went to the police station to report, wrote a statement, and showed the video." However, the detective in charge told him, "Your face doesn't appear, and we can never catch the culprit with CCTV," adding, "There are many serious crimes besides this. If you weren't hurt, isn't that enough? Just go home." He added, "So I just left."
Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as, "There are plenty of CCTVs; if they trace back, they can definitely catch the culprit, so are they refusing to do that?", "There are so many CCTVs that catching the criminal is more than possible," "What if the culprit changes their mind and throws acid next time? Why not catch them now?", "It was bread this time, but who knows what they might throw next?", and "Then where should the victim report this?"
Meanwhile, according to the Minor Offenses Punishment Act, "Throwing, pouring, or shooting objects without sufficient caution in places where there is a risk of harming another person's body or the property of another person or organization" is punishable by a fine of up to 100,000 won, detention, or a penalty.
