Dong-Eui University Badminton Team Wins Men's Doubles at National School Championship

Kang Taeyoung and Oh Hyunho Win Men's Doubles, Ha Donghoon Takes Third in Men's Singles

Kang Taeyoung (Department of Leisure Sports, sophomore) and Oh Hyeonho (Department of Physical Education, sophomore) from the Dong-Eui University badminton team (Head Coach: Lee Sangbok) claimed the men's doubles title in the university division at the '2024 KB Financial Group National School (University) Badminton Championships' held at Hoam Gymnasium in Chungju, Chungbuk on July 1.

The pair of Kang Taeyoung and Oh Hyeonho defeated the teams from Baekseok University and Wonkwang University 2-0 in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively, and went on to win the championship by overcoming the Wonkwang University duo of Choi Seongchang and Kim Habin 2-1 (21:17, 10:21, 21:16) in the final.

Ha Donghun (Department of Physical Education, senior), who competed in the men's singles, finished in third place.

Head Coach Lee Sangbok said, "I want to congratulate the athletes who trained hard despite the hot weather. We will focus on improving our weaknesses in training so that we can win the gold medal at the National Sports Festival as well."
