Seven Water Recreation Management Areas to Have 'Safety Guardians' Deployed

Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk, has deployed 14 water safety guards until August 31 to prevent water-related accidents during the peak summer vacation season.

Cheongsong County deployed safety keepers at seven water play management areas.

The county expects an increase in visitors to rivers and streams during the holiday season and has assigned two water safety guards each to seven designated water recreation areas (Wolmakhacheon, Cheongunhacheon, Mapyeonggyo, Eoreumgol, Banghojeong, Jisohacheon, Gowahacheon). These guards will patrol and carry out preventive activities to ensure the safety of water recreation users.

Additionally, the county plans to install water safety warning signs and maintain rescue equipment in areas vulnerable to accidents, as well as conduct ongoing safety culture campaigns and accident prevention education.

County Governor Yoon Kyunghee said, "I ask everyone to do their utmost to ensure that not a single water-related accident occurs in Cheongsong."
