GS Construction's modular housing subsidiary, "Zigist," announced on the 4th that it will officially introduce IoT (Internet of Things) technology through a partnership with Kyungdong Navien.
Through this agreement, Zigist will apply Kyungdong Navien's IoT technology to modular houses. It will be possible to remotely control boilers, ventilation purifiers, and all-off switches via smartphones. In particular, during winter, the network switch allows remote control of heating wires, preventing the risk of water pipe freezing. If illegal intrusion is detected by intrusion sensors installed inside the house, notifications will be sent to the smartphone, and CCTV can also be checked.
The Kyungdong Navien Home IoT package will first be applied to Zigist's new product, RM. Continuous collaboration will be maintained to further develop services such as smartphone alert notifications in case of fire and smartphone recording services for CCTV.
Nam Kyungho, CEO of Zigist, said, "We aim to provide a new form of living environment by combining the efficiency of modular housing with IoT technology," adding, "We will do our best to continuously apply smart home technology so that modular house users can enjoy conveniences similar to those of apartments."
