Yongin City Recruiting Complexes to Participate in 'Creating Neighborly Relations Without Interfloor Noise'

Support for Community Revitalization Project Costs Such as Contests and Festivals

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting apartment complexes to participate in the "Creating Neighborly Relations Without Interfloor Noise" project until the 19th to reduce disputes between neighbors caused by interfloor noise.

This project has been promoted since last year to prevent disputes and conflicts caused by interfloor noise and to activate communication among residents.

If selected as a target complex, partial expenses needed for events, festivals, contests, and other activities held within the complex to revitalize the community will be supported. This year's project budget is a total of 8 million KRW, with up to 1.6 million KRW per complex that can be used for purchasing supplies, instructor fees, performance costs, and more.

The application targets are 460 mandatory management apartment complexes in the region under the Apartment Housing Management Act. Interested complexes can download the forms from the city’s website and submit a project plan and application form containing detailed operation plans such as the project purpose, necessity, expected effects, and budget plan to the Housing Department’s Housing Management Team.

The city plans to give additional points to complexes that have formed an Interfloor Noise Management Committee during the selection process. According to the amendment of the Apartment Housing Management Act, from October, apartment complexes with 500 or more households must form a resident self-governing organization called the Interfloor Noise Management Committee for dispute mediation and adjustment.

Last year, four complexes were selected for this project and carried out activities such as ▲poster contest and slipper decorating (Jinsan Village Samsung 5th Complex) ▲logo lighting promotion and distribution of interfloor noise reduction products (Chodang Village Sambur Renaissance) ▲writing contest (Park Ciel) ▲one-person play performance and Jeong Sharing Festival (Hillstate Seocheon).
