Lee Seunghwa, Sancheong County Governor, Visits Ministry of Economy and Finance to Request Inclusion in Government Budget

Current Issues Including Residential Conditions and Disaster Safety

Lee Seunghwa, Governor of Sancheong County in Gyeongnam, announced that on the 3rd, he visited the Ministry of Economy and Finance to request central government support for key projects such as improving local living conditions and disaster safety.


Governor Lee has visited central government ministries three times this year?on April 1, May 1, and May 16?and with this fourth visit, he is making every effort to secure national funding.

During this visit, he met with Kim Dongil, Director of the Budget Office at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, to explain the key projects and request national funding support.


He actively explained the justification and necessity of the projects, and requested special attention and support to ensure they are included in next year's government budget proposal.


The main projects proposed include: ▲expansion of rural village sewage systems ▲improvement of the Naeri livestock manure public treatment facility ▲establishment of green rainwater infrastructure at Sancheong County Office and the public stadium ▲maintenance of the Oksan District disaster risk improvement area ▲comprehensive maintenance of the Daepo District flood-prone living area.


Governor Lee stated, "The Ministry of Economy and Finance is currently in the midst of reviewing next year's government budget proposal," and added, "It is important to respond actively and proactively according to the budget timeline to secure national funds."


He also emphasized, "We will remain vigilant throughout the Ministry of Economy and Finance's budget review process, which will continue until the end of August, and do our utmost to ensure that Sancheong County's key projects are reflected as much as possible."
