Won Hee-ryong, a candidate running for the People Power Party leadership, highlighted Han Dong-hoon's responsibility for the general election on the 4th, stating, "We should not elect a party leader who lacks experience."

On the same day, Won posted on his Facebook under the title "Won Hee-ryong or Han Dong-hoon, it is time to choose again." He said, "After the crushing defeat in the Gangseo District Office election, when the outlook for the general election was bleak, we had two options for the emergency committee chairman to save the party in crisis. Many people said we should entrust the experienced Won Hee-ryong, but the choice was Han Dong-hoon. Everyone knows the result of that choice."

He continued, "If you could go back to December last year, what choice would you make? I am confident that if I had taken the emergency committee chairman position then, such a defeat would not have happened." He also added, "Even if I had different opinions from the president, I would not have clashed in that manner. Since I joined the party in 2000, I have experienced nomination turmoil in every parliamentary election, so I know very well how carefully nominations must be handled."

Won said, "Although I could not take the emergency committee chairman position, I went to Gyeyang, one of the toughest constituencies, to help others' elections by competing against Representative Lee Jae-myung. It was to keep Representative Lee tied down in Gyeyang." He added, "I failed and could not be of help, but that was my intention."

He stated, "Now it is time to choose again. The party is in a much more difficult situation than before, and we must choose again between Won Hee-ryong and Han Dong-hoon for party leader. This time, we must entrust Won Hee-ryong." Won said, "Elections can be contested without parliamentary experience, but parliamentary battles cannot. Won Hee-ryong, with experience as a three-term parliamentarian, two-term governor, and minister, can do better as party leader."

Furthermore, Won emphasized again, "We should not entrust someone who suffered a major defeat just over two months ago. We should not elect a party leader who will clash with the president again." He concluded his post by saying, "This time, we must entrust Won Hee-ryong. Won Hee-ryong can do much better as party leader."
